Asian Wedding Catering in London

Bringing clarity, care and confidence to your wedding day

Rooted in family hospitality since 2004, Spice Village has catered weddings and events since 2008. We cater Pakistani, Indian, Afghan and Middle Eastern weddings at hotels, country houses and historic venues across London and the South East.

Our chefs, planners and event managers work as one team, so the food, the timings and the venue come together on the day. Tell us your date, roughly how many guests you expect and your venue if you have one, and we will talk through your plans and send you a proposal.

A menu for every function

Many Asian weddings run over several days, and each function has its own mood. We can plan a separate menu for each one, so the food changes from one celebration to the next.

Mehndi, Dholki and Sangeet

The liveliest nights of the wedding, where the food becomes part of the entertainment. Live stations suit them well: chaat made to order, kebabs from the charcoal grill, pani puri and hot jalebi. See our Mehndi and live stations menu.

Nikah

Often the most intimate part of the wedding. Sharing platters at the table or a set menu served to each guest suit the occasion, and we time the meal around the ceremony.

Baraat and reception

Usually the biggest day, with the longest guest list. Choose a buffet, plated courses or generous dishes to share at each table, with starters, mains, rice, breads and desserts planned around your numbers.

Walima

Hosted by the groom’s family, the Walima is usually a seated meal. Dishes from our Pakistani menu such as whole roast leg of lamb, karahi and Dehli nihari suit it well, followed by kulfi and gulab jamun.

Menus shaped around your families

Our menus start with the South Asian cooking we know best and are shaped around your family traditions and your guests. Browse our Pakistani, Indian, Afghan, Middle Eastern, Sri Lankan and South Indian and Gujarati menus, or combine dishes from more than one when two families bring different traditions together. For Indian weddings, see our Indian catering page.

We refine your menu with you at a tasting, settling the flavours, spice levels and presentation. We ask about allergies and dietary needs at the start, so they are planned into the menu and the service.

Planning and management on the day

Some couples book us for the food alone. Others want help with the whole celebration. We can help you find a venue, bring in trusted décor, entertainment and production partners, and give you an event manager who runs the day, coordinates every team and keeps the venue informed. Behind them is a team of more than 100 experienced event staff.

Your proposal sets out what is included and who looks after each part, so you always know who to call.

Venues we know well

We cater at city hotels, country houses, historic estates and landmark venues. Recent weddings include Froyle Park, Ascot Racecourse, Crowne Plaza Marlow, the London Marriott Grosvenor Square and The Decorium in Wood Green.

Before your day we look at more than the room itself, including access, the kitchen, service routes and timings, all agreed with the venue’s own team. Browse 78 venues by area, size and style in our Venue Finder, or tell us about the venue you have already booked.

A real celebration

Muazzam and Zoya’s Mehndi at Ditton Manor

Muazzam and Zoya held their Mehndi at Ditton Manor, with an afternoon outdoors followed by an evening reception inside. Our team found the venue and looked after the décor, the catering, the partners and the running of the event, with live cooking stations bringing freshly made food into the celebration.

What couples say

We are rated Excellent on Trustpilot, where couples and families review us after their weddings.
